Fokus strengthens cooperation with PenSam

Fokus Asset Management now intensifies its business partnership with the Danish pension fund PenSam. The enhanced cooperation aims at strengthening PenSam’s investments in Danish property.

We have made a strategic decision to increase investments in Danish property. Part of realising this strategy is an increased focus on our investment activities, while the task of optimising is handled in cooperation with external partners, says Carsten Gröhn, Head of Private Capital and Real Assets at PenSam. He further elaborates:

PenSam wishes to cooperate with experts who has the expertise to handle the specific tasks professionally and make it possible for us to grow. This requires the right professional, technical, legal, financial and investment skills.

With the expanded partnership agreement, Fokus will extend its focus on managing PenSam’s commercial properties which are part of the pension fund’s total portfolio of Danish property. The tasks include both property administration and asset management, and Fokus will ensure efficient and stable operation and administration as well as delivering professional and value‐added asset management.

On behalf of PenSam, Fokus currently manages about DKK3 bn (€400 m) which will grow considerably with PenSam’s announced new strategy for allocation into Danish property. Fokus covers the entire value chain within property management, and the single point of entry at Fokus ensures that the pension fund can make qualified decisions regarding their assets. According to CEO and Partner at Fokus Asset Management,
Tonny Nielsen, PenSam is an ideal and valuable partner:

We are very pleased to intensify our cooperation with PenSam. Our expertise within property and asset management corresponds extremely well with the well‐established property portfolio of PenSam, and because of the ideal match, we have had a very positive business relation so far. We look forward to continuing our successful and valuable partnership.
